First, exit the arrival gate. Having done that, you will see the terminal building's exit doors right in front of you. Exit the terminal building and having done that, turn to the left, walk 50 metres, and you will arrive at the Enterprise Faroe Islands counter. Signs will also show you the way.
Key Facts & Policies
There will be an additional charge of 200 DKK including VAT for each additional authorised driver per rental. All rental conditions apply to each additional driver. Additional drivers must go to the rental counter with the primary renter and show a valid driving licence.
Arrival:
To be able to pick up a car outside of our opening hours, there will be an OUT-OF-HOURS CHARGE of DKK 375.
Once in the arrivals hall, follow the signs to the Car Rental Centre. Our key box is located to the right, in the entrance of the Car Rental Centre.
Please follow the instructions emailed prior to arrival or those stated on the key box to get your key.
Wi-Fi/data is needed to access the rental key provided during an After Hours reservation. If you cannot access Wi-Fi/data, have any issues, or need assistance, please contact our 24-hour helpline on +298 299 800.
Once you have collected your key, please follow the instructions we have given you in the email. Your vehicle is parked in area P3F, and the stall number will be marked on your key.
Your vehicle has been checked for damage and, if there is any, this has been marked on the rental agreement that you will have received by email after signing the agreement. Please take time to walk around your vehicle before leaving the parking area. If you notice any other damage, please take a photo/video with the time/date and contact our branch as soon as possible by emailing the pictures to inform us of the new damage. Please remember to provide the vehicle's number plate in the email.
To exit the parking area, follow the signs for 'Exit'.
Return:
When returning the car, please park it in one of our spots at area P3F — we have 30 spots that are marked with Enterprise. If there are no spots available, please park the car close to our parking area.
To drop off your key, please return to the Car Rental Centre and drop your key in the Alamo/Enterprise/National drop box.
The final invoice will be sent to your email as soon as possible.
Important information: We provide 24/7 returns for travellers' convenience. Please note that, outside of business hours, depositing the keys in the drop box does not constitute the end of the rental. You remain liable for any damage until an Alamo/National/Enterprise employee takes possession of the vehicle and keys when the rental branch opens the following working day.
All renters and additional drivers must be aged 21 or over to rent a car and have held a driving license for at least one year. A Young Driver Surcharge will be applicable for all drivers under the age of 25. When renting a vehicle, a driver qualified as a “young driver” pays an extra charge of 125 DKK per day and up to a maximum of 1250.00 DKK per rental as a "Young Driver Surcharge". Renters between the ages of 21 - 24 may rent all car groups except Premium and Luxury categories. All fees quoted include VAT.
A cross border rental is considered a vehicle picked up in Denmark, taken across an International border and returned to a location in Denmark. Cross border travel is permitted into Sweden and Norway at any time. Cross border travel is allowed in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Vatican City with prior notification and approval by the branch. Cross border travel outside of the countries listed above is not allowed at any time. Additional information will be provided at the time of pickup regarding the rules and regulations of cross border travel. A penalty fee of 20,000 DKK plus the cost of transporting the vehicle back to Denmark will apply for an unauthorized drop-off of the rental vehicle. The purchase of Roadside Assistance Protection is mandatory when traveling outside of Denmark.
Damage Waiver limits your financial responsibility in the event of physical damage to the body of the vehicle. The coverage has an excess of 7000 DKK per incident and covers the following:
- Liability coverage
- Damage coverage
If you would like to lower your deductible further, you can purchase Super Collision Damage Waiver and reduce your excess to 2000 DKK
Note that Tyre and Windshield cover is not included.

All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it was collected from will be subject to a one-way fee. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location and pick-up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category.
This cover reduces your deductible to DKK 0 on the following:
- Third-party liability
- Damage/Collision Waiver
- Theft cover
Note! The deductible for tyre and windshield coverage will still be DKK 3.000. You can buy additional cover for tyres and windshield which also lowers your deductible to 0 DKK.
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel and should be returned in the same condition. If the customer prefers not to refuel the car, this service is available for purchase at the counter at the time of the rental. If a vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of fuel and no prepaid fuel has been purchased at the time of the rental, the renter will be charged 30 DKK including VAT per liter of fuel when refueling.
Customers must present a full and valid driving license which has been held for a minimum of one year. The rates are not valid for Danish residents as they are based on tax free cars.
All domestic residents have limited mileage (100km/day) when renting a car in Denmark. We reserve the right to requalify the product to limited mileage for any domestic resident.

Personal Accident Insurance is an optional coverage which covers the driver and all passengers of the rental vehicle in the event of an accident up to 120,000 DKK. in the event of death, up to 1,000,000 DKK in the event of disability and up to 25,000 DKK per person for reasonable and necessary expenses associated with dental damage. If more than 5 people in the vehicle, the compensation is calculated proportionately. This protection is subject to the terms and conditions of your rental contract and applicable laws. It is available for an additional fee of 30 DKK per day.
Major credit cards are accepted when booking through online websites. Upon arrival, a deposit of 7000 DKK plus any locally paid charge will be placed on your credit card.
There must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges.
Accepted credit cards are: AMERICAN EXPRESS, VISA and MASTERCARD/EUROCARD.
Cash and debit cards (VISA ELECTRON, MAESTRO) are not accepted, neither as a form of payment nor as a deposit.
Our Roadside Assistance Protection is an optional addition that gives you the benefit of breakdown assistance service. Should you be unlucky enough to have a flat tyre or have your rental car damaged, there is always help available with our Roadside Assistance Protection. This cover does not apply if a breach of the terms has been found or if the wrong fuel is added to the vehicle. This service will be available for all customers. Customers who haven't purchased the Roadside Assistance Protection will be charged for the service according to the price list.
All renters and additional drivers must be 19 or older, have a valid driving licence and a major credit card in their name. All drivers between the ages of 19 - 24 will have a young driver fee attached. International renters must also provide a valid passport. The primary renter must provide a major credit card in their own name at the time of the rental. In addition to the normal driving licence, an international driving license is also mandatory if the driving licence is not written in Danish or English and - or are in characters that cannot be read or understood in Denmark, or if the driving licence is not valid in the European Union. Please note that the international driving licence is valid only if accompanied by the normal driving licence. For luxury and special models we require two credit cards - including at least one major credit card - Visa, MasterCard, American Express - and an authorisation will be requested on each credit card.
RESIDENCY - Reservations made on non-Danish websites with a Danish IP-number, are not valid for Danish residents registered with the Danish Registry of Citizenship - Folkeregister. Due to tax regulations, Danish residents can only book a rental with pickup in Denmark at www.enterprise.dk, or by choosing Denmark as country of residence on any other booking sources. A Danish resident is someone that has a permanent address in Denmark, are liable to pay tax in Denmark, or spend more than 180 days in Denmark in the last 12 months, independent of nationality or citizenship.

Third Party Liability insurance is mandatory by law and included with all rental rates. Liability insurance covers per accident, personal injury or death up to 121,000,000.00 DKK and property damage up to 24,000,000.00 DKK - 2018. Third Party insurance cover amounts are adjusted each year from the 1st of January. The liability insurance does not cover injury to the driver of the rental vehicle but third parties, passengers, are covered. It also does not cover the renter’s property or cover damages to a connected vehicle on the rental like a caravan or trailer.
